The CCS Bootcamp is offered as a special pre-conference workshop to the 2026 MSHIMA Annual Convention in Hattiesburg.  Led by expert instructor Nena Scott, this intensive session is designed to prepare attendees for success on the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) exam while strengthening real-world coding proficiency.

Participants will build confidence in assigning accurate diagnosis codes at the highest level of specificity, guided by the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, including proper selection of principal diagnoses using UHDDS definitions. The workshop also provides a deep dive into the multiaxial structure of ICD-10-PCS, equipping attendees to correctly identify root operations and select appropriate body part, approach, and qualifier values.

In addition, participants will enhance their ability to accurately assign CPT codes for surgical procedures and apply modifiers correctly, ensuring compliance and precision in coding practice.

Please note that this registration is for those who wish to attend the CCS Bootcamp without attending the full conference.  There is an option to register for the CCS Bootcamp within the main conference registration.
